Gane International Limited was formed in June 1986 as a Centre of Excellence for the development of Intelligent Computer Solutions. Originally formed purely as a small team of software experts, it operated as a Software Research & Development centre with all the products being marketed and supported exclusively through a UK distributor.

We now focus on providing custom solutions to meet the resource management demands of larger blue-chip corporations, and on forming business partnerships with distributors, both in the UK and overseas. Our unique talent pool provides us with the ability to offer our clients a total solution, including system design, project management, development, implementation and support.

The skills of the Gane Team enable us to offer a complete service to those clients seeking a comprehensive solution. These skills have been tested on projects such as Canary Wharf, the Channel Tunnel Rail Link, and more recently the Terminal 5 development at Heathrow Airport.

Key Staff

	Paul Armitage - Managing Director Paul has over 20 years' senior experience of the software industry, including three years' self-employment in a joint venture software business. His technical background allows him to appreciate all aspects of the business, and communicate at all levels. Paul is responsible for ensuring all departments in the company are performing and developing in line with the corporate business plan. paula@gane.co.uk
	Nigel Leech - Technical Director Nigel has over 20 years' experience of the computer industry. He is an Oxford Mathematics graduate and founder member of Gane. He is also responsible for overseeing the research and development of new products and enhancements to existing modules. Nigel's significant experience and skills in product design and development, have allowed Gane to develop some of the most comprehensive products available. nigell@gane.co.uk
	Alan Dearden - Operations Director Alan joined Gane after graduating from Leeds University in 1988. Initially a trainee programmer, Alan has developed his role within the company to incorporate responsibilities ranging from system specification, installation, implementation and Technical Support, maintaining close customer contact throughout. Alan was promoted to Operations Manager in 2002, and now specializes in all aspects of our Time and Attendance and Access Control packages, GaneTime and GaneEntry. aland@gane.co.uk
	Chris Dearden - Hardware Design Engineer Chris has a University degree in Electronic Design, however he originally joined Gane in 1988 as a Programmer. Chris left Gane in 1990 to develop and apply his skills in Process Control systems, an area which at that time was outside the scope of Gane. He rejoined Gane in 1992, after spending two years working in the UK and Europe on large industrial automation projects. This unique combination of skills in both hardware and software, makes Chris an ideal person to project manage and support the implementation of Gane's large integrated solutions. chrisd@gane.co.uk
	Steve Castlehouse - Senior Programmer Steve has been with the company since its inception in 1986. Prior to joining Gane, Steve worked in a computer management role at Leeds University, where he acquired nearly 8 years' detailed experience of Unix systems. Steve therefore provides Gane with over 20 years' experience in the use of medium to large computer systems. stevec@gane.co.uk

	Karl Armitage - Hardware Installation Technician Karl is responsible for site and office based, hardware installation, testing and commissioning. karla@gane.co.uk
	Sandra Pipe Sandra joined Gane in Sept 07 as Office Manager and ensures the smooth running of the administration and accounting functions.  Sandra's voice is probably the first one you'll hear if you call the office.
