The GaneEntry Access Control System provides users with the capability to control both vehicular and pedestrian access to a single site, or to multiple sites over a wide geographical area.  The system is fully integrated with our Time Attendance System, GaneTime, and ensures a comprehensive solution to all Access Control and Time Attendance System requirements.

Using our own range of Intelligent Controllers, GaneEntry is able to support most types of reader technologies including Barcode, Proximity, Smart Cards and Biometric.

The system provides control over access into, or out of specified areas, allowing you to control WHO should be allowed access to WHERE and WHEN.  By combining these three variables an access strategy is formulated and each employee is allocated a strategy.  

Both the Access Control System and Time Attendance System use the same database and core software which means that the software can be implemented as Access Control, Time and Attendance or both.  Functionality can be "switched on" very easily without the need to install more software or make changes to the database.

GaneEntry provides detailed and extensive access control facilities.  These include full anti-passback, door alarms and invalid card use.  Whenever an attempted access violation takes place, a suitable alarm is generated to be handled by the operator.  All of these features are fully configurable.  GaneEntry also allows the operator to activate outputs, for example, to lock or unlock specific, or all doors.  Thus, authorised operators have full control of every aspect of the site.

User defined messages may be configured to display following certain events.  Examples of these are Invalid Access attempt, Attempted Anti-Passback, Door Forced, Door Wedged, Door failed to open when expected to.

If any of these, or other, events take place GaneEntry can be configured to inform the operator of the reader at which the event took place as well as other information allowing the operator to act efficiently and with the necessary information.  GaneEntry can also be configured to activate a Digital Output or relay should these events occur.  Digital Output's are used in order to sound a siren or activate other devices, to alert or warn of a potential emergency situation.

Anti-Passback is a facility which prevents two or more people gaining access to a protected zone or zones using the same card.  Anti-passback operates in such a way that once a badge holder has entered into a zone he or she may not do so again until he uses a second reader to exit the zone.  This not only prevents the passing back of cards but can also be used to ensure that personnel always enter and leave zones through controlled doors rather than taking an alternative route.
